From Bishop John Stowe, OFM Conv.:
We have all seen the terrible news of the devastating flooding in Eastern Kentucky. Reports are changing by the hour about the water levels, the number of homeless and evacuated people and the number who have lost their lives (16 at the time of this writing).
The needs will take a long time to assess but will be great. Parishes and missions are authorized to take up a special collection as soon as practical to be used by Catholic Charities, which is collaborating with agencies across the state, as well as Catholic Charities USA, to provide relief to those affected.
We at Saint William/Saint Ann’s will provide a basket at each of the Masses for the collection which will then be sent to the Diocese for flood relief.
Thank you for your willingness to provide help.
Members of St. William youth group, Shields of Faith, attended the Casting Crowns concert on April 2,2022. It was a great night filled with praise and worship.
